Bent-Con 2012 Recap

So it's been two weeks since the extravaganza gathering of gay geeks, Bent-Con, occurred. The event is so overwhelmingly fun, it takes me at least a week to recover.
Many of you already know what Bent-Con is, but for the benefit of those who don't, I'll explain. Bent-Con is an annual LGBT Comic Convention. It's technically 3 years old, but this is its second "official" year. Bent-Con gives home to artist, writers, directors, and anyone else showcasing queer work that usually is either overshadowed or more often excluded all together from other comic conventions. Fans can enjoy works they would normally miss out on as well as participate in cosplay they would usually not be free to or feel comfortable wearing.
This year's show was packed with so many great panels, it was not easy picking which ones to attend. Celebrities like  Amber Benson, Tom LenkChristopher Riceand even Traci Lords got in on this years fun along with Celebrity creatives like Jane Espenson, Phil Jimenez, Wendy Pini, Marc Andreyko, and too many more to list without this looking like one of those linage books of the Bible. Here are a few highlights from the show...

The Gay Comic Geek

I don't think this month's feature needs any introduction. He's the one and only - Gay Comic Geek. Every artist has his muse and my muse is Paul. I don't know why. I see him and I have to draw him.
So without further delay...

April & The 2nd Half of My interview with Dr. Dick

Hey HEY HAY, Everybody!

Before I dive into the overview of this month, here are some birthdays you guys should make note of so you can show these studs some love:

Fantastic and French artist, Fabrissou turns 32 on April 14th
Black Gay Boy Fantasy's Victor Hodge turns 43 on April 18th
and writer Zan Christensen will be 38 on April 23rd.

I've got A LOT for you guys this month - starting with an interview with the gay comic geek. Yup. The Gay Comic Geek.
If you think you already know everything about him, you're in for some treats.

My zodiac series continues with Taurus and I've prepared two weeks of fan art for you and maybe a surprise or two.
Yes, Ladyboys and Gents, I've got a few BIG JezzLoads for ya this month!

Kick it all off with the second half of my podcast interview with Dr. Dick as part of his series: The Erotic Mind. This was my first interview as an erotic artist, and I couldn't have had more fun. Dr. Dick is as charismatic as they come and his Erotic Mind series has become my new favorite resource for learning about erotic artist.
Thank you all for the beautiful emails and comments. I can't express how grateful I am to have made the fans and friends I have through my art. I said it before and I'll say it again, I LOVE YOU GUYS!

Happy April, Everybody

Geeks United

Wassup Everybody!

I'm home from my first Comic Con.
As insane as it was, I loved it. I met so many great people, it was a little strange to be so free to be so Geek.

One of the many highlights for me, was meeting THE Gay Comic Geek and his boyfriend, Steve. I'd have a hard time thinking anyone viewing my blog hasn't heard of him, but just in case you haven't. Paul performs a great service to both gay creators and fanboys alike by reviewing all things Geek & Gay. I personally, would still be unaware of a few great gay comics out there if it weren't for his reviews. Paul has a new website. Check him out.

Paul got me to thinkin bout some of the sites o
ut there for gay geeks that don't get the exposure they deserve. In agreement with him, I'm doin my part. Check out Fanboys of the Universe. I use it as my one stop shop for keepin up on whats goin on in the geek world. The calendar is my favorite feature so far.

And lastly, It feels like a new networking site pops up every other day. I'm tryin to keep it simple by using just ONE of them. So, if you'd like to keep up with me. Friend me on FaceBook.
